We are Charlotte's most trusted dog-walking service. Hooman on Demand is a locally owned and operated dog walking and pet-sitting service. Our mission is to provide our pets and pet parents exceptional care during every visit. We have flexible part-time positions available. These positions enable you to accept or deny any work opportunity, and we offer a very competitive wage.

Growth
Although we are locally owned in Charlotte we have a location in Raleigh too! Hooman on Demand Charlotte is currently in a growing phase so you will have the opportunity to grow with Hooman on Demand and as more visits populate.

The position:

Professional dog walker with the ability to also care for cats.
Most of our dog walking is scheduled 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
All services are scheduled from 7am to 9pm.
This position will require consistent part-time weekend availability.
South End, Matthews, Clanton Park/ Roseland

Compensation:

$18 - $27 / hour (based on other staff member earnings)

$1000 - $2500 / monthly

100% Client gratuity, paid weekly via our dedicated app

Pay is based on visits performed. Visits are paid at the rates of:

- $9.00 for a 15-minute walk
- $10.50 for a 20-minute walk
- $9.00 for a 30-minute walk
- $22.20 for a 60-minute walk

Walk bonuses available:

$2.00 bonus per additional dog
$5 bonus per holiday visit
$5 same-day cancellation
Long-distance services have a 10% bonus.

The responsibilities:

For this position, you must be consistently available to work weekends. Ideally, you will also have some weekday evening availability.
Create a safe and positive walking environment for our client's dogs
Follow the client-provided care instructions, including training preferences
Provide detailed and attentive care for our client's cats
Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch
Communicate with staff and clients via phone/text and photographs
Practice time management to ensure on-time arrivals for all accepted visits
This position would be offered as an independent contracting position.

The ideal candidate:

An honest, patient, and enthusiastic candidate, who can provide our client's dogs and cats with the highest quality visits possible.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of safety and time management.
Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is preferred.
The job has a flexible schedule. You can accept or deny any opportunity, but we would prefer staff who can work between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Extra consideration will be given to candidates with weekend availability.
The candidate should enjoy an active work environment, be able to work independently and work outdoors regardless of weather conditions.
This is an excellent opportunity for people looking to start a career or grow their current professional experience with dogs. Many of our staff were previously dog walkers with other on-demand services, doggy daycare staff, dog groomers, or volunteers at a local shelter.

How our on-demand dog walking service works:

Some clients will request short-notice dog walking / pet services. No services can be requested in less than 2 hours.
This is not an on-call job. You have the option to perform this work.
When these types of services are requested, you will receive a push notification on your phone. You don't need to respond to the notification.
This is an extra-earning opportunity. Some of this work will also pay out a competitive bonus!

When are you consistently available to work? Most of our dog walking services occur Monday - Friday from about 10am to 4pm. Most of our pet-sitting services occur on weekends. What would be your preferred minimum and maximum working hours per week?

Walkers looking to work 20+ hours weekly would ideally be available Monday to Friday.*

This position will require that you have the ability to walk multiple dogs in an outdoor environment. You may encounter the need to traverse steps, wet, slippery, and uneven terrain. You will be required to clean up animal waste. Some animals may require you to pick them up (lifting up to 50lbs.). You may also interact with the general public, and the dogs they may also own. Can you perform all the duties in the job description?*

If considered for the position, you will need to provide proof that you are at least 18 years of age and are legally authorized to work in the United States.
